Corporate Overview

Founded in 2002 by Navin Chandra, Noubar Afeyan and Keith Elliston, Genstruct is a privately held knowledge-driven systems biology company focused on pioneering new approaches to better understand and treat complex diseases.

Dedication to Excellence
Genstruct has continued to advance the analysis and application of high-throughput biology for the purpose of elucidating mechanisms, predicting safety, understanding efficacy, stratifying diseases and differentiating patients. By applying our proprietary technology, knowledge and methodologies, we have discovered novel mechanisms of action (MOA), as well as mechanism-based targets and biomarkers for diseases and compounds.

Our Knowledge AssemblyŽ models, mechanisms, hypotheses and biomarkers greatly enhance our partners' competitive advantage by enabling greater value creation through better and more comprehensive research and development decision-making.

Through our dedication to innovation and scientific excellence, we have delivered unparalleled results for our partners- results that are unattainable through traditional research methods, at a fraction of the cost and effort. We have successfully completed projects in the areas of Oncology, Metabolic Disorders and Inflammation, and continue to grow by leveraging our experience. Our partners include top tier pharmaceutical corporations, biotechnology companies, research institutions and academic centers.

As pioneers in the field, we have built a broad intellectual property portfolio protecting our methodology, discovered intellectual property, content and software, including patent applications, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. We have established a collaborative research business model that offers distinct and complementary ways for our partners to access our expertise, discoveries, and technologies through research collaborations and partnerships.

Strength in Corporate Citizenship
In addition to our dedication to scientific excellence, Genstruct strives to contribute to our community whenever possible.

In 2006, the Genstruct team spent a day at Cradles to Crayons, a local warehouse helping children in need. During the busy 2005 Holiday season, the team gave much needed assistance at The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB). Greater Boston, a nightly show on Boston's WGBH station, was on hand to highlight the operations of The GBFB and the importance of volunteers. To watch the video, showing Genstruct volunteers hard at work during the Genstruct Day of Service, please visit the Greater Boston website.
